About Good Deeds America

Good Deeds America is a pioneering national good news television and digital media platform dedicated to sharing inspiring stories of kindness, community, and positive impact across America. Created and hosted by Jordan James, the platform was established in Janauary 2024, though planning took place throughout the end of 2023 as the national expansion of the nationally recognized, community-focused Good Deeds Buffalo television series.  The journey began in 2021 with the launch of Good Deeds Buffalo, a weekly television series created to spotlight the people, nonprofits, businesses, and organizations making Western New York a better place. The series earned recognition for its uplifting storytelling, community-focused interviews, and commitment to highlighting the positive stories often overlooked by traditional news. Inspired by the impact of the regional program, Jordan James expanded the vision nationally with the creation of Good Deeds America, bringing the same mission of celebrating kindness and community to audiences across the country.

Good Deeds America shines a spotlight on inspiring individuals, nonprofits, businesses, volunteers, first responders, educators, healthcare professionals, and community leaders whose dedication is creating meaningful change. Through compelling interviews, positive news, and community storytelling, the platform demonstrates that acts of kindness exist in every corner of America and deserve to be celebrated. 

Good Deeds America continued its national expansion through 2024, releasing four online episodes before entering a temporary production hiatus on October 1, 2024. The hiatus resulted from a combination of funding challenges, the absence of a long-term production partner, and personal circumstances affecting the platform's creator and host, Jordan James. During this time, planning, production development, and industry conversations began for a professionally produced relaunch pilot designed to position Good Deeds America for future television, streaming, and digital distribution.

While details remain under wraps, the next chapter of Good Deeds America is currently in development as the team prepares for its return. The relaunch will introduce a refreshed brand, enhanced production quality, and an expanded vision while remaining true to the platform's mission of celebrating kindness, community, and positive impact.
